As part of the 3-2 Dual-Degree Program, I completed a B.A. in Physics and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering at Vassar College and Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College, respectively.

Through my college career I have become a spirited leader with strong communication skills and I have learned how crucial it is to not only work hard, but work smart. Being a student athlete while balancing a job at the machine shop at Dartmouth’s Thayer School of Engineering has enabled me to develop great study habits as well as excellent time management skills. I have worked on multiple projects simultaneously consisting of designing, manufacturing, and troubleshooting a 10’ wingspan flying wing, an omni-directional vehicle, as well as two smaller projects (a ball maze and yoyo), to hone my SolidWorks skills . I have consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, the ability to handle multiple projects at once, and a deep-rooted desire to never stop learning. In addition to these skills I have learned how to ask the right questions and successfully find answers.

All of these skills have transferred over to my professional career as a Project Engineer and assistant project manager,

where I have collaborated with teams ranging from 3-10 people and liaised with owners, architects, and subcontractors to transition multi-million dollar projects from design, to construction, to completion, by  administering multiple disciplines including structural, MEPS and finishes. I achieved project schedule goals by managing RFI’s, submittals, and procurement,  while ensuring construction work was performed per company, industry, and  regulatory standards. I was able to troubleshoot unexpected issues by analyzing the problem, gathering the appropriate parties (owner, architect, subcontractors, etc.), properly facilitating meetings and delegating tasks to ensure resolution in a timely manner. I also performed financial & operational due diligence on change orders by analyzing market trends, competition & alternate solutions. These professional projects taught me a lot about the importance of teamwork, such as discerning when to yield to my teammates input and feedback based on their expertise as well as when to leverage my own expertise.
